Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

My brother, my sister in Christ Jesus, you will agree with me that it probably takes less that one minute to say this “Hail Mary” prayer but this is a prayer so powerful that only a few Catholics have come to realise the power of its efficacy. Here are what some saint of the Catholic Church has to say about the power of the “Hail Mary”.

St. Bernadino of Siena said “You must know when you ‘hail’ Mary, she immediately greets you!”

St. Don Bosco said “All my work began with a simple Hail Mary for Our Lady’s help.”

Thomas a Kempis said “Satan and hell tremble when I repeat ‘Hail Mary’.”

St. Jerome said “…the truths contained in the Hail Mary are so sublime, so wonderful that no man or Angel could fully understand them.”

Our Lady said to St. Mechtilde  “Desist, dear child, from your labor for no prayer you could possibly compose would give me the joy and delight of the Hail Mary.”

St. Louis de Montfort said “The Hail Mary is a sharp and flaming shaft which, joined to the Word of God, gives the preacher the strength to pierce, move, and convert the most hardened hearts.”

So if the saints have these to say about the power of just one Hail Mary, you can imagine what it is like when you pray the complete rosary.
