The Massive Apostasy: The Fulfillment Of Pope Leo XIII’s Vision On October 13,1844.

In 1917, following the outbreak of the bloody Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, Western Civilization had begun to drift away from the light of the Gospel. The Reformation(1517), the French Revolution(1789) and, as mentioned, the Russian Revolution(1917), were highly instrumental in ushering in the era of secularism. Pope Benedict XV could not escape the conclusion that the world was changing. He wrote the following in his encyclical:

“If on the other hand, We examine the state of public and private morals, the constitutions and laws of nations, We shall find that there is a general disregard and forgetfulness of the supernatural, a gradual falling away from the strict standard of Christian virtue, and that men are slipping back more and more into the shameful practices of paganism”.

With the return of paganism, comes an intolerance of Christianity. Indeed, the Church would produce more martyrs during the 20th century than in any other centuries combined. But as bad as things were in the world, the real test for the Church would come fifty years later during the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s. Similar to that of the Reformation in 1517, scores of Catholics would leave the Church. Priestly and religious vocations would dry up. Mass attendance would sharply decline. Catholic clergy and laity would no longer be on the same page in terms of belief and behavior. And as for many church-goers that would remain, their morals and lifestyle would prove to be comparable to non-Catholics.

Perhaps, this is the apostasy Pope Leo XIII saw in his vision. Did not our Lord ask in the Gospel of Luke, “But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

What was foreseen by Pope Leo XIII on October 13, 1884 – exactly 33 years before the miracle of the sun at Fatima – has been confirmed, not only by subsequent events, but by other credible sources. The work of iniquity which had gained much momentum outside the Church in the late 19th century and early 20th century, was about to make its way in the institutions of the Church.

In fact, on June 29, 1972 Pope Paul VI confirmed just that when he addressed his audience. He said:

“It is as if from some mysterious crack, no, it is not mysterious, from some crack the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God”.

About a year later, on October 13, 1973, Our Lady of Akita, in an approved apparition in Japan, took this point further and gave us some idea how this “smoke” would take effect. She said:

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops…the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”

The Triumphant Entry Of The August Soul Of The Most Holy Virgin Into Heaven

The Triumphant Entry Of The August Soul Of The Most Holy Virgin Into Heaven

🌻The Triumphant Entry Of The August Soul Of The Most Holy Virgin Into Heaven.🌻

No sooner had the august incomparable soul of that Holy Virgin been separated from the body then JESUS CHRIST placed it at HIS right hand on the throne and the immense procession of Angels and Saints turned towards Heaven. The REDEEMER entered with HIS Mother, all brilliant and glorious, without having subjected her to the particular judgement on the gifts and favors she had received on account of the promise made to her when she was exempted from Original Sin, as elected Queen, as a privileged one, having no share in the miseries of the children of Adam.

From the first instant of her conception, she was a clear resplendent aurora, surrounded by the rays of the DIVINE SON, she surpassed the brilliancy of the most ardent Seraphim, again by the union of the WORD with the holy humanity she had been elevated that, as it were, she touched the DIVINITY. It was therefore suitable and necessary that she should be HIS companion throughout all eternity, and that, there should be the greatest possible resemblance between the SON and the Mother.

The DIVINE REDEEMER, presented her before the divine throne and said:

“MY ETERNAL FATHER, MY dear Mother, THY beloved daughter and the cherished spouse of the HOLY SPIRIT comes to receive eternal possession of the crown of glory which WE have prepared in recompense of her merits. Among the children of Adam, she is the rose among the thorns, spotless, pure and beautiful, worthy of being received into  OUR HANDS. She is OUR elected One, chosen and singular, to whom WE have given grace and participation in OUR perfections, beyond that of the ordinary creatures. In her, WE deposited the treasures of the DIVINITY; she has found grace in OUR sight and in her WE have taken OUR complacency. It is then that she should receive the recompense and reward due to her as MY Mother and as during her life she has been as like to ME as is possible to a pure creature, so she ought to resemble ME in glory and be placed on the throne of OUR MAJESTY, so that where in Sanctity by Essence should also be she who has received the greatest participation on it”.

The ETERNAL FATHER and the  HOLY GHOST immediately approved this decree of the INCARNATE WORD, and the soul of Mary was raised to the right hand of her   SON, on the royal throne of the MOST HOLY TRINITY.

St. Margaret Mary’s Visions of the Sacred Heart.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart blossomed even further when Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and instructed her in the meaning of His Sacred Heart.

Jesus directed her in what the devotion should look like:

*One should receive Holy Communion on the first Friday of each month.

*Spend a holy hour of adoration before the Eucharist every Thursday, and

*Celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

Jesus gave her a specific instruction to spend an hour every Thursday night meditating on Jesus’ Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane (the first Sorrowful Mystery of the Rosary).

Jesus told St. Margaret Mary Alacoque that He would make 12 promises to those who honor His Sacred Heart:

  1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state in life.

  2. I will establish peace in their families.

  3. I will comfort them in their trials.

  4. I will be their secure refuge during life, and, above all, in death.

  5. I will shed abundant blessings on all their undertakings.

  6. Sinners will find in My Heart an infinite ocean of mercy.

  7. Lukewarm souls will become fervent.

  8. Fervent souls will rapidly grow in holiness and perfection.

  9. I will bless every place where an image of My Heart shall be exposed and honored.

  10. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.

  11. The names of those who promote this devotion will be written in My Heart, never to be blotted out.

  12. I promise thee, in the excessive mercy of My Heart, that My all-powerful love will be granted to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months, the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their Sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

Indulgences From the Sacred Heart

On July 21, 1899, Pope Leo XIII directed all Bishops throughout the world to observe the Feast of the Sacred Heart in their dioceses. He also approved these indulgences for the devotion:

  1. For performing the devotion publicly or privately, seven years and seven quarantines (the remission of temporal punishment equivalent to what would be granted for forty days of penance) each day.

  2. If the devotion is practiced daily in private, or if a person assists at least ten times at a public function, a plenary indulgence (remission of all temporal punishment for sins) on any day in June or between July 1-8 (Decree urbis et orbis, May 30, 1992).

  3. The indulgence toties quoties (for the souls in Purgatory) on the thirtieth of June or the last Sunday of June (January 28, 1908) in those churches where the Month of June is celebrated solemnly. Pius X (August 8, 1906) urged a daily sermon, or at least for eight days in the form of a mission (January 26, 1908).

To those priests who preach the sermons at the solemn functions in June in honor of the Sacred Heart, and to the rectors of the churches where these ceremonies are held, the privilege of the Gregorian Altar on June 30 (Pius X, August 8, 1906). A plenary indulgence for each communion in June, and to those who promote the solemn celebration of the month of June (“Acta Pontificia”, IV, 388, August 8, 1906).
