A True Story Of How A Former Abortion Clinic Was Exorcised

A True Story Of How A Former Abortion Clinic Was Exorcised

It was the highest sacrilege.

Originally, the building had been constructed as a Jewish synagogue, then used as an Greek Orthodox church, was sold and re-opened as an abortion clinic. And a successful one at that, growing to become the largest abortion facility in western Michigan. Local pro-life activists worked and prayed for many years to shut it down, but to no avail.

That is, until 2004, when they had a big breakthrough: they were able to convince the owner of the building to sell it to them, and then they immediately evicted the abortion practice. After eight heart-breaking years, and an estimated 20,000 abortions, the abortion clinic closed. The overjoyed pro-lifers made plans to turn the building into a pro-life pregnancy resource center.

David Bereit, founder of 40 Days for Life, was invited to tour the gruesome site a few days after the abortionists left and was told an amazing story.

According to the new owners, a day or two after taking control of the building, a small group of Christian pro-life leaders gathered in the building to pray. They chose to specifically pray by the back-alley entrance that had been used by the abortionist to enter and exit the building. They held hands in a circle and prayed that God would cleanse the space of evil.

Suddenly, at the very moment a local pastor in their group concluded their prayer with “Amen,” the back-alley door swung open on its own and a rush of air went through the room and out the door. A few seconds later, a cool breeze began blowing in from the open door.

The group quietly walked back to the front of the building. While meditating on what they had just witnessed, a neighbor stopped by and asked what they had done with the statue of a demon that had been on the roof. The pro-life group had never seen such a statue and hadn’t removed anything, yet the woman insisted she had seen it on top of the building for some time, but that it was now gone.

So what exactly happened in that building? One of the pro-life leaders present later described it in simple yet profound terms: “a spiritual transfer of ownership.”

And the building? It’s now home to LIFE International, a pro-life organization dedicated to creating pro-life materials and training pro-life leaders around the world.

David Bereit Founder Of 40 Days For Life, Officially Joins The Catholic Church

David Bereit Founder Of 40 Days For Life, Officially Joins The Catholic Church

The founder of 40 Days for Life, David Bereit, officially joined the Catholic Church on Easter vigil, giving thanks for the inspiration of influential Catholics, including his wife and children.

“After years of prayer, discernment, and a whole lot of wrestling with God, I was received into full communion with the Catholic Church at last night’s Easter Vigil,” wrote Bereit in an April 1 Facebook post.

Bereit celebrated Easter with his family at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. His wife Margaret was his sponsor, and his son Patrick was an altar server at the Mass. His daughter Claire and mother-in-law Helen were also in attendance.

Bereit said that he had been attending Sunday Mass with his wife – who is Catholic – every week for the last 28 years, ever since their second date at St. Mary’s Catholic Center at Texas A&M in 1990.

But while he and Margaret shared many things in common as Christians, Bereit said he also longed to be more unified in their church affiliation and therefore spent years wrestling with the Catholic Church.

“I struggled with many questions, misconceptions, and hangups along the way. I have endeavored to continually learn and grow through prayer, studying Scripture, theology, and church history, reading, and seeking wise counsel,” he said.

Throughout my life I have also been surrounded by many amazing Catholic Christians whose faithful, loving witness has continually inspired and attracted me – most notably the beautiful example lived out by my incredible wife and wonderful children.”

Last September, Bereit experienced a profound encounter of faith during Eucharistic adoration. Soon after, he began attending RCIA classes, which he said led to a more fruitful Lent and Easter this year.

“Lent took on far more meaning than usual for me, as I prayed and fasted more intensely than ever with a focused desire to continue growing closer to Christ. Now I am filled with joy, and am at complete peace, about this next step in my life-long journey of faith.”

In 2004, Bereit began 40 Days for Life as a local prolife advocacy group in Bryan-College Station, Texas. The group has grown into an international organization, holding Christian campaigns of prayer and activism to end abortion. Over the course of 40 days, participants hold a 24/7 prayer vigil outside of a single abortion facility in the community. The organization also engages in community outreach, through partnerships with churches and door-to-door petitions.

Bereit stepped down as CEO in 2016, but continues to be actively involved in the pro-life movement.

He said in his Facebook post that his decision to become Catholic may be surprising to some, but it will not change his dedication to serve the entire body of Christ.

“This journey has deepened my appreciation for a wonderful Christian upbringing, my years of experiences within the Presbyterian Church, the time I was involved with Evangelical ministries while in college, and the blessing of getting to work and pray alongside the many different parts of the Body of Christ in my 15+ years of pro-life work.”

He Was A Serial Abortionist, Until The Holy Spirit ‘Arrested’ Him!

He Was A Serial Abortionist, Until The Holy Spirit ‘Arrested’ Him!

Dr. John T. Bruchalski

When Dr. John T. Bruchalski began performing abortions as part of his OB-GYN training, he felt troubled.

The Virginia doctor thought he was helping women, but he slowly began to realize that he was doing the exact opposite.

After three powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit, Bruchalski said he stopped aborting unborn babies and returned to the Catholic faith of his childhood, according to The Christian Post.

Now, he runs the Tepeyac Family Center in Fairfax, Virginia, one of the only all pro-life OB/GYN health care practices in the nation.

Bruchalski recently shared his conversion experience as part of an effort to expand pro-life medical practices. He encouraged pro-life advocates to begin providing more holistic health care to pregnant and parenting mothers.

“Abortion is considered good medicine today. The health care system has adopted abortion as a good item,” Bruchalski told the news outlet. “… the missing piece has been doctors standing up and saying ‘We want to help women with real comprehensive and building of health care.’”

Here’s more from the report:

Bruchalski used to perform abortion procedures before having three powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit and stopped doing them. He also ceased prescribing contraceptives and told his hospital colleagues he would not do artificial reproduction. By the end of his residency, “many of his fellow residents had followed his lead and ceased performing abortions,” his website testimonial notes.

“If you can show women that they can get through the difficult time, whether she’s with insurance or without insurance and then that doctor’s practice or that health care facility practitioner then they partner with all these incredibly wonderful pregnancy centers and social services and even those on the other side [of the abortion debate], we will show you how to do a perinatal hospice so they don’t have to end the life of a child,” Bruchalski said. “We can actually make children welcomed, women healthier, families stronger by just providing excellent health care.”

Last January, Bruchalski joined a group of health care professionals in Washington, D.C. to launch the Pro-Women’s Healthcare Centers initiative.

It encourages pregnancy resource centers to become certified to offer high-quality medical services and help accessing government assistance. The group envisions pregnancy centers offering basic preventative health services, STD testing, cervical cancer screenings, breast exams, mammograms or mammogram referrals, prenatal care, childbirth assistance and post-partum care. Centers that meet the consortium’s official guidelines will be certified under the program.

If we can use charity, competence, and excellence with standards, then the 50 to 80 percent of women who intrinsically do not want abortion on demand, they can trust these people across the country rather than ending up in a tight spot or a difficult medical situation and then not knowing what your doctor would do,” Bruchalski said.

A few other pro-life groups have been promoting a similar idea. Stanton Healthcare has been expanding across the country as a life-affirming alternative to Planned Parenthood. Founder Brandi Swindell said their facilities offer free ultrasounds, pregnancy confirmation, uterine and ovarian diagnostics, STI testing and treatment, prenatal care and postnatal follow-ups and, possibly in the future, mammograms.

“Jesus Christ Is The Only Solution For Our World” – Mike Pompeo Trump’s New CIA Director

Trump’s CIA Director Mike Pompeo

Trump’s new CIA Director Mike Pompeo, an evangelical Christian, and a well-respected figure in the national security community. He is also an army veteran, and a staunch pro-life advocate.

Two years ago, Pompeo gave a Church speech where he said Muslims who think Islam is “the only way” needed to be dealt with. “This threat to America is from people who deeply believe that Islam is the way and the light and the only answer,” Pompeo told the church-goers, according to Press TV.
“These folks believe that it is religiously driven for them to wipe Christians from the face of the earth,” he added. “They abhor Christians,” he said of a small minority among Muslims.
Pompeo passionately urged believers to “pray and stand and fight and make sure that we know that Jesus Christ is our savior and is truly the only solution for our world.”
Following the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, Pompeo took to the House floor to call on Muslim leaders to denounce acts of terrorism committed in the name of Islam. “It’s been just under two months since the attacks in Boston, and in those intervening weeks, the silence of Muslim leaders has been deafening,” he said.
Failing to condemn such attacks, he asserted, makes Muslim leaders “potentially complicit” in the attacks. “When the most devastating terrorist attacks on America in the last 20 years come overwhelmingly from people of a single faith and are performed in the name of that faith, a special obligation falls on those that are the leaders of that faith,” he said.
Trump visited the CIA headquarters at the weekend and made it clear that he is a big advocate of the intelligence agency, and his new CIA chief Pompeo. “There is nobody that feels stronger about the intelligence community and the CIA than Donald Trump,” the new President said.
Trump called Pompeo a “total star” and a “gem” and said he may have been his most important Cabinet pick. “I met Mike Pompeo, and it was the only guy I met. I didn’t want to meet anybody else. I said, cancel everybody else. Cancel,” Trump said of his decision to nominate Pompeo.
Pompeo is also a shrewd businessman, starting out at Thayer Aerospace, selling it up and moving on to Sentry International, which makes equipment for oilfields. Pompeo has also voted to defund Planned Parenthood, calling it the “largest commercial provider of abortions in the United States.”
President Trump said in a statement that he was proud to nominate Pompeo as director of the CIA. “He has served our country with honor and spent his life fighting for the security of our citizens.” The President continued, “He will be a brilliant and unrelenting leader for our intelligence community to ensure the safety of Americans and our allies.”
Pompeo said he was truly honored by the opportunity to serve and work alongside Trump “to keep America safe.”
“I also look forward to working with America’s intelligence warriors, who do so much to protect Americans each and every day.”
